The surgery is an attempt to fix a dislocated kneecap, which prevented Mr. Williams from playing in the final two games of the season. Mr. Williams also had another kneecap dislocation earlier in the season.

Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He also serves as head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams and is an orthopedic consultant for the Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Lakers and Anaheim Ducks.

Mr. Williams is expected to be fully recovered by June with the hope that this surgery will prevent any future dislocations.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
