Spire Orthopedic Partners, a physician owned and operated management partner backed by private equity firm Kohlberg and Co., has quickly made a name for itself in the orthopedic MSO space since its 2021 founding.
Even as a new player in the space, Spire already amassed a network of over 100 physicians.
Since February 2022, Spire has completed acquisitions of four new health systems, bringing its total number of locations to 23.
In February 2022, Spire partnered with two practices, Middlesex Orthopedic Surgeons in Middletown, Conn., and Orthopaedic Surgical Associates in Chelmsford, Mass.
In April 2022, Spire partnered with Peabody, Mass.-based Sports Medicine North and its affiliated Orthopedic Surgical Center of the North Shore.
In February 2023, Spire partnered with Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County and its affiliated orthopedic ASC.
