The health system gains branding rights to all Sounders merchandise, including game jerseys worn by the players beginning in the 2023 season, which kicks off in February.

The partnership also includes initiatives and programs in the Renton school district to improve mental health and wellness for students. Both organizations will work with district leaders to develop the programs, which may include expanding mental health resources for students and increasing awareness through education.

In addition, Seattle-based Providence Swedish will become the official medical services provider and official healthcare partner of the Sounders, and physicians from Swedish Medical Group will serve alongside team physicians and the sports medicine department, the report said.

Providence is a nonprofit health system with 52 hospitals and 120,000 employees across Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
