Norman Waldrop, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Ala., performed ankle surgery on retiring World Wrestling Entertainment star Stephanie McMahon, according to a Jan. 13 post on the wrestler's Twitter.
Just days before, on Jan. 10, Ms. McMahon announced on Twitter that she is retiring from WWE following a leave of absence.
Dr. Waldrop is a foot and ankle specialist at Andrews, a consultant for the New Orleans Saints, the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and Auburn (Ala.) University.
