Ms. Spencer had surgery for a torn plantar plate and ligament, her post said. She had surgery at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.
Since her surgery, Ms. Spencer has shared additional Instagram posts documenting her recovery. Dr. O’Malley is a foot and ankle surgeon and has worked at HSS since 1993.
