The Gunnison (Colo.) Valley Health launched the Gunnison Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine clinic, adding orthopedic care to the local health system, according to an Aug. 31 report from the Gunnison Country Times.
The clinic will be overseen by Blake Clifton, MD, the new medical director of orthopedics and sports medicine, who moved to the clinic from Go Orthopedics.
The clinic will offer both surgical and non-surgical options, specializing in joint replacement and arthritis care.
"Having a comprehensive orthopedic clinic connected to the health system orthopedic service line that works collaboratively with the network of local providers will support people to have the right care to live active and healthy lifestyles," Jason Amrich, Gunnison Valley Health's CEO, told the Times.
Gunnison Valley Orthopedics has a second clinic in Crested Butte, Colo.
