Mr. Skubal underwent a left elbow procedure that was initially exploratory, before the root of the issue was found, the report said. Dr. ElAttrache performed the procedure at his Los Angeles practice.
“When a respected doctor’s office says ‘successful surgery and expected to make a perfect recovery,’ that’s good enough for me,” team manager A.J. Hinch said, according to the report.
No timetable was given for Mr. Skubal’s recovery, but the typical period for the procedure is between six and nine months, the report said.
