U.S. Orthopaedic Partners, a private equity-backed management services organization with 65 affiliated physicians in the Southeast, has expanded its C-suite by two to support its growth initiatives.

Kevin Navas was appointed as COO and will lead all USOP operations. Before joining the company, he served as senior vice president of Healogics' national accounts division, where he oversaw operations for 200 advanced wound care centers affiliated with the ten largest U.S. health systems.

Previously, Mr. Navas served as COO of St. Petersburg (Fla.) General Hospital, associate administrator and interim COO at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Fla., and CFO of DaVita's mid-Atlantic and hospital services groups.

USOP also named Rhonda Gibby as chief human resources officer, a role in which she will lead the talent agenda for the organization. Previously, Ms. Gibby served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Avanos Medical, a medtech company that specializes in pain management, and Halyard Health, a personal protective equipment company.

Last year, she founded Talent Advantage, where she served as principal and created talent solutions to drive competitive advantages across her client base.

"As we remain focused on expanding USOP's footprint, our longstanding goal has been to provide outstanding support and partnership for our affiliate groups," CEO Glen Silverman said in an April 28 news release. "By rounding out our leadership team with these two key positions, we can further support our affiliated groups with the guidance of these accomplished executives."
