Paul Mason, MD, of Warsaw-based Buffalo Bone and Joint Surgery, signed a contract with Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, N.Y. He will begin seeing patients May 2, and Buffalo Bone and Joint Surgery will no longer provide services to Wyoming County Community Health System.

Dr. Mason garnered community support for his reinstatement after he was terminated in February, with residents drafting an online petition urging that he be rehired.

Dr. Mason said in a published letter that the termination came after the hospital’s leadership changed hands.
