Dr. McNemar is a hand surgeon and plans to split his time between administrative duties and his clinical work, according to the report. He completed his medical degree at Kansas City (Mo.) University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed his residency at St. Luke’s Des Peres (Mo.) Hospital.
“He has served patients in our area for years by providing life-changing care as an orthopedic surgeon,” Jeremy Drinkwitz, president of Mercy Hospital Joplin, said in the report. “He has also lived in the community for his entire life, so he understands the needs of our patients and the challenges they face.”
