Cost of knee replacement in the 30 biggest cities

Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, are the most expensive cities in the U.S. to undergo total knee replacement surgery, according to Healthcare Bluebook, a patient resource for finding affordable care. Meanwhile, the least expensive cities to have the procedures include Memphis, Tenn., and San Antonio.

The price for total knee replacement includes facility, physician and anesthesia fees and is calculated based on the amount health plans have paid on medical claims.

Here are the average prices for total knee replacement in 30 of the most populous cities in the U.S., based on data from the Census:
