Parvizi Surgical Innovation, owned by Javad Parvizi, MD, invested in a software company focused on medical grade virtual reality and augmented reality technology for surgical training.

Irvine, Calif.-based Hoag Orthopedic Institute appointed David Gazzaniga, MD, chief of sports medicine.
