5 orthopedic promotions at the University of Maryland School of Medicine

The University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore has promoted five faculty members in its orthopedic department, effective July 1:

R. Frank Henn III, MD, Joseph Stains, PhD, and Masahiro Iwamoto, PhD, were promoted to professors of orthopedics. 

Dr. Henn serves as chief of sports medicine, Dr. Stains is interim director of musculoskeletal research and Dr. Iwamoto is the Maxwell Hurston, MD Distinguished Professor in Orthopaedics.

Jonathan Packer, MD, and Ngozi Akabudike, MD, were promoted to associate professors of orthopedics.
