5 orthopedic practice M&As in the past month

Here are five mergers and acquisitions announced in the orthopedic space in the past month:

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics and Mid-Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic plan to merge into a single group with 104 physicians and more than 27 locations across the state.

Sharonville, Ohio-based Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine acquired a seven-physician orthopedic group based in Montgomery, Ohio. The combined group includes 34 physicians as shareholders in the practice.

Des Plaines-based Illinois Bone & Joint Institute acquired Orthopaedic Surgery Specialists, a six-physician group with locations in Park Ridge and Fox River Grove, Ill.

Geneva, Ill.-based Fox Valley Orthopedics added five orthopedic surgeons from Elgin, Ill.-based Midwest Bone and Joint Institute.

Syracuse (Neb.) Area Health acquired Strasburger Orthopaedics in Lincoln.
