5 orthopedic department leaders appointed in 2022

1. Adam Bitterman, DO, was named Huntington (N.Y.) Hospital’s new orthopedic department chair in March

2. Boston-based Mass General Brigham appointed Augustus Mazzocca, MD, its first medical director of sports medicine in June

3. Harvinder Sandhu, MD, was named chair of the department of orthopedics at Stamford (Conn.) Hospital in September

4. MaCalus Hogan, MD, was named the new chair of orthopedics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in September.

5. Rahul Vaidya, MD, was named Detroit-based Wayne State University School of Medicine’s new chair of orthopedics in October.
