Alaska hospital gets 1st orthopedic surgeon in over a year

Orthopedic surgeon Aaron Humphreys, MD, joined the staff at Providence Kodiak (Alaska) Island Medical Center, the Kodiak Daily Mirror reports.

The 25-bed critical access hospital added Dr. Humphreys to its ranks in April. Dr. Humphreys is the first orthopedic surgeon Providence Kodiak has had in a year and a half.

Dr. Humphreys' predecessors in Providence Kodiak's orthopedic department are Alan Wolf, MD, and Russell DeGroote, MD.
