Louisiana's state orthopedic society appointed two new top leaders, The Advocate reports.
Michael Leddy III, MD, was named president of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association, and Claude Williams IV, MD, will serve as first vice president. Both are orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Leddy is president of Mid-State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center in Alexandria, La., as well as a clinical faculty member in the orthopedics department at LSU Health New Orleans Health Sciences Center.
He sits on the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons board of councilors and is one of Louisiana's representatives for the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine council of delegates.
A provider at New Orleans-based Southern Orthopaedic Specialists, Dr. Williams is a clinical faculty member in LSU's orthopedic surgery department and is involved in training family practice and sports medicine fellows. He serves on the medical staff operating committee at Ochsner Baptist in New Orleans.
