Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Jeremy Oryhon of Illinois Bone & Joint Institute

Jeremy Oryhon, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Barrington. 

An expert in primary and revision joint replacement and reconstruction, Dr. Oryhon joined IBJI in 2009. Dr. Oryhon has experience in minimally invasive hip replacement, hip resurfacing, total knee replacement, hip arthroscopy and young adult hip treatments.

Dr. Oryhon is an attending physician at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

He has conducted orthopedic research at Chicago-based Rush University, Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University and Washington University in St. Louis, among other institutions. Several orthopedic peer-reviewed journals have published his work.

Dr. Oryhon is an American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and Lake County Medical Society member.

A Chicagoland native, he is actively involved in the community and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Dr. Oryhon graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago and undertook residencies at New Orleans-based Tulane University and Vanderbilt University. He completed a fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.
