4 spine, orthopedic surgeon leadership moves

The new head of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and three more orthopedic surgeon leadership appointments since July 1:

1. Lindley Wall, MD, is the new director of pediatric and adolescent orthopedics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and orthopedic surgeon-in-chief at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. 

2. Gilbert Beauperthuy-Rojas, DO, is the new president of the Miami Orthopaedic Society.

3. The American Orthopaedic Association named spine surgeon Alexander Ghanayem, MD, as second president-elect during its annual leadership meeting in June.

4. Mark Miller, MD, is the 2022-23 president of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
