1. Phillip Myers, DO, of Singing River Orthopedics in Ocean Spring, Miss., became the first surgeon in the state to perform surgery using an augmented reality technology called HipInsight, successfully completing three hip-replacement procedures using the technology, which combines real and virtual elements to create an “X-ray” effect.

2. Longview (Texas) Regional Medical Center surgeons Jordan Stanley, MD, and Martin Hilton, MD, have each performed more than 500 minimally invasive robotic-assisted joint replacement surgeries.

3. Joshua Herzog, MD, performed his first case with the ExcelsiusGPS, an L4-L5 transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion, and performed the case at HCA Virginia Health System in Richmond.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
