Thirty-six percent of USPI’s 2022 case were musculoskeletal, followed by gastrointestinal cases, which made up 34 percent of the mix, according to a second-quarter report from Tenet.
During the second quarter of 2023, USPI saw growth in orthopedic volumes, Tenet CEO Saum Sutaria, MD, said in a July 31 earnings call, as transcribed by Seeking Alpha. Outpatient total joint replacement volume rose 12 percent year over year.
