3 orthopedic leaders join devicemaker’s advisory board

Medical device developer CurvaFix has added three new specialists with experience in orthopedic traumatology, pelvis reconstruction and fragility fractures of the pelvis to its surgeon advisory board, according to a Sept. 28 report from StreetInsider

The board members will support CurvaFix’s development of the CurvaFix IM implant for pelvic fractures. 

The additions include Philadelphia-based trauma surgeon Samir Mehta, MD, former head of the department of orthopedics and traumatology at the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz Germany; Maria Rommens, MD; and the director of orthopedic trauma service at the North Mississippi Medical Center (Tupelo), Karl Van Osten, MD.
