Three things to know:
1. The new hospital tower will mirror Nationwide Children’s existing 750,000-square-foot, 302-bed tower. Construction will begin in two years and open around 2026.
2. Nationwide Children’s plans to release more details on the proposed orthopedic surgery center in the coming weeks.
3. Over the next five years, $1.3 billion of the $3.3 billion will be spent on research and initiatives that include fetal medicine, behavioral health and a school-based health services program.
