Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. David N. Collins of Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics


David N. Collins, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon practicing at Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics in Little Rock. Dr. Collins specializes in shoulder replacement in addition to hip and knee replacement. He is member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.

Dr. Collins serves as a consultant for DePuy and is an active participant in the company's education courses. Additionally, Dr. Collins teaches orthopedic surgery residents part-time at the VA Hospital in Little Rock.


Dr. Collins earned his medical degree from University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City and went on to complete his residency at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.


After completing his residency, Dr. Collins went on to complete his shoulder and elbow surgery fellowships at Ozark Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic in Arkansas, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and University of Washington in Seattle.
