West Tennessee Healthcare’s Jackson-based North Hospital is expecting to treat its first orthopedic surgery patients in September. The hospital is adding an eighth operating room and a 24-bed preoperative and recovery area that will cater to patients undergoing hip and knee replacements.
Fairfield (Ill.) Memorial Hospital is investing up to $24 million on an expansion project that will add orthopedic surgery. The hospital is doubling its operating rooms and is implementing a robotic surgery program. Kory Blank, MD, was hired to lead its orthopedic wing.
