The 60,000-square-foot project will replace two separate offices that the two groups have outgrown. It will include a medical center, an ASC with large operating rooms, overnight suites and clinical space.

Orthopaedic Associates of Wausau has six surgeons who operate at Wausau Surgery Center, according to its website. Wausau Surgery Center specializes in orthopedics; ear, nose and throat; and plastic surgery.

The facility is expected to open by June 2022.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
