What would physicians sacrifice to work less? 5 Statistics

A little over 52 percent of physicians wished they worked fewer hours per week, according to Physicians Practice’s 2014 Great American Physician Survey.

The survey includes responses from 1,311 physicians.

 

When asked what they would be willing to give up to be able to work less, respondents reported the following:

 

•    Nothing, I can’t afford to sacrifice anything to work less — 52.4 percent
•    Money — 25.2 percent
•    Influence over management decisions — 12 percent
•    Partnership or my future opportunity to become a partner — 7.6 percent
•    Benefits — 2.8 percent
