West Virginia hospital clinches BCBS distinction for knee, hip replacements

Morgantown, W.Va.-based Mon Health Medical Center was named a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacement by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia, reports The Morgantown News.

Three things to know:

1. The distinction recognizes facilities that provide optimum patient safety and outcomes in total knee and hip replacements, based on measures developed by BCBS.

2. Blue Distinction Center+ facilities demonstrate expertise in total knee and hip replacements, resulting in fewer complications and hospital readmissions.
