Walgreens curbs drug abuse in California — 4 notes

Walgreens established two California programs to fight drug abuse, according to Daily Herald.

Here are four notes:

 

1. Walgreens safe medication disposal program provides a way for people to safely dispose of medications for free.

 

2. California now has 50 safe medication disposal kiosks in various Walgreens stores.

 

3. The program’s goal is to decrease medication misuse.

 

4. The company is also attempting to make naloxone, an opioid antidote, available without prescriptions.
