Here are five key notes:
1. Walgreens is handing over operations of 56 clinics in the Chicago area.
2. The Chicago-area clinics employ approximately 110 nurse practitioners.
3. The clinics will function in the same manner as they have been thus far when Advocate takes over, noted Pat Carroll, MD, CMO of Walgreens’ retail clinics.
4. In May, the clinics will be re-branded as Advocate Clinic at Walgreens.
5. Financial terms of the partnership have not been disclosed.
