Virginia hospital names CEO, plans outpatient spine surgery center

Nathan Vooys will lead expansion plans at Dulles, Va.-based StoneSprings Hospital Center, when he assumes the role of CEO Nov. 1, Washington Business Journal reports.

Four things to know:

1. Owned by HCA Healthcare in Nashville, Tenn., the 124-bed hospital, will begin construction on a spine and orthopedic outpatient surgery center in 2021.

2. The facility will feature four operating rooms and will be located on the hospital campus.

3. StoneSprings Hospital Center established a joint replacement program last year.

4. The hospital, which is approaching its five-year anniversary, is one of 40 robotic training sites for general surgery in the U.S.
