ValueHealth hires new regional president, plans to expand Ambulatory Centers of Excellence surgical network

Leawood, Kan.-based ValueHealth, a privately-held digital healthcare partner, named Scott Martin southwest regional president on April 14.

Four things to know:

1. ValueHealth seeks to assist payers and providers in delivering value-based alternatives to surgical care.

2. Mr. Martin aims to grow Muve Health, the company’s hyper-specialty platform focusing on spine and total joint replacement, and expand its integrated orthopedic practice model, Surgical Solutions.

3. He will also be responsible for partnering with health systems in the region to create an Ambulatory Centers of Excellence network.

4. In January, ValueHealth appointed William Hozack, MD, of Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedics, as medical director.
