Here are five key points:
1. The campus is expected to open by the end of 2019 and will include Texas Health Frisco, and acute care hospital, and the UT Southwestern Medical Center at Frisco.
2. The medical staff at Texas Health Frisco will be comprised of local independent physicians, UT Southwestern faculty and Texas Health Physicians Group providers.
3. Currently designed to host 80 beds, the acute hospital is expected to grow to 140 beds.
4. The UT Southwestern Medical Center at Frisco will include an extension of the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute, providing neurology, spine surgery and concussion rehabilitation.
5. Texas Health and UT Southwestern have a longstanding relationship. Nearly 25 years ago, the two developed the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine in Dallas.
