U.S. Orthopaedic Partners and Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center broke ground on an ASC in Alexandria, La.

The ASC is slated to open in April 2026 and will have eight operating suites, according to an April 8 news release from USOP. It will be equipped with robot-assisted technology, C-arm imaging and an in-house MRI.

The facility will allow Mid State Orthopaedic to perform outpatient total joint replacements in a dedicated ASC setting. The practice will also be in a position to participate in bundled payment programs.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
