The platform allows physicians to keep tabs on a patient’s recovery before and after surgery and between visits to personalize their treatment plan.

Highmark’s orthopedic application is a hybrid of recurring software as a service revenue with additional per-patient use and implementation fees, according to a Feb. 3 Highmark news release. The initial rollout is going to 15 surgeons, and Highmark anticipates a minimum $50,000 in revenue per surgeon.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
