The groundbreaking marks the start of the project’s centerpiece, a four-story patient care tower for orthopedic surgery. The project has created more than 300 construction jobs and will meet guidelines for LEED certification.

“The tower that we’re breaking ground on today will complete our vision to provide patients across Upstate New York one of the largest and most advanced orthopaedic care facilities in the nation,” Mark Taubman, MD, CEO of University of Rochester Medical Center said.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
