University of Michigan expands orthopedic presence

Carson City-based University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Carson Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is expanding its orthopedic services in the area through the addition of three new providers.

Beginning April 8, Alicia Ballard, DO, Michael Vaccariello, MD, and Angela Beckhold, PA-C, will see patients at the Carson City location in addition to UM’s Ionia, Mich.-based location, according to an April 2 press release. 

Dr. Ballard specializes in anterior hip replacements, osteoporosis management and sports medicine injuries. Dr. Vaccariello specializes in shoulder and knee injuries and sports medicine. 

Ms. Beckhold provides treatment for fractures and performs hip, knee, and shoulder intra-articular and bursa injections.
