University of Kentucky breaks ground on comprehensive spine center

Lexington-based University of Kentucky has broken ground on a $781 million project that will house its comprehensive spine center, according to an April 25 report from NPR affiliate WUKY

The facility will also house the UK Markey Cancer Center, ambulatory surgery space and other outpatient services. 

The 550,000-square-foot cancer, spine and advanced ambulatory building is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
