University of Chicago Medicine to open new orthopedic center: 3 things to know

University of Chicago Medicine will open its new orthopedic center in Orland Park, Ill., on April 6.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. Twenty-eight UChicago Medicine employees, including 20 physicians, will staff the clinic.  

 

2. The facility will include orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, hand surgeons, spinal surgeons, general orthopedic physicians and advanced practice nurses.

 

3. The team will focus on joint reconstruction and replacement, treating upper extremity conditions, spine surgery and sports medicine, among other treatments.
