UMass, HealthLoop join forces to improve total joint replacement patients’ experience: 3 notes

Here are three things to know:

1. HealthLoop is a patient engagement software solution that allows teams to engage all patients through automated daily check-ins.

2. Orthopedic providers who used HealthLoop have experienced a 54 percent drop in complications and a 45 percent reduction in readmissions.

3. UMass Memorial Health Care’s Orthopedic Center of Excellence is currently in the 97th percentile of total joint replacement patient experience, according to David Ayers, MD, the chair of orthopedics and rehabilitation medicine at UMass.
