Neurosurgeons at San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, part of Tenet Health Central Coast, now have access to UCSF Health neurosurgical providers, according to a May 25 news release. This includes remote and direct access, including realtime consultations during surgeries.
The affiliation also creates a continuum of care between the two organizations for patients.
“This relationship is more than expanding access to expertise at UCSF; we are looking to introduce new programs and services locally in direct support of our community and its needs,” Sierra Vista director of neurosurgery Phillip Kissel, MD, said.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
