UConn Health creates 7-year residency program in neurological surgery

Farmington-based UConn Health launched a seven-year residency in neurological surgery with Hartford (Conn.) Hospital and Connecticut’s Children’s Medical Center, also in Hartford, reports UConn Today.

Four things to know:

1. Ketan Bulsara, MD, chief of the division of neurosurgery at UConn Health, will serve as director of the residency program.

2. Residents will be trained in the full spectrum of neurosurgical procedures.

3. Inam Kureshi, MD, will serve as site director at Hartford Hospital and Jonathan Martin, MD, at CCMC.

4. UConn Health features 60 residency and fellowship training programs.
