Here are six things to know:
1. The Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion will offer integrated outpatient spine, sports medicine, urology and breast services.
2. Specifically, providers will offer minimally invasive orthopedic surgery for hand, sports and foot injuries, among other treatments.
3. The new pavilion will also encompass the Sanford Stem Cell Clinical Center, which has current clinical trials on stem cell therapies for spinal cord injury, cancer and more.
4. The new pavilion is 156,000 square feet.
5. It houses eight surgery suites, imaging, physical therapy and pain management services.
6. UC San Diego Health named the pavilion after Bill and Amy Koman for the contributions to healthcare in San Diego.
