UAB Medicine to open spine, MSK care clinic

Birmingham, Ala.-based UAB Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and UAB Neurosurgery are set to open a shared clinic location in Birmingham. 

The new UAB Medicine Inverness One location will expand spine and musculoskeletal services, according to a Jan. 28 news release from UAB Medicine. 

Services provided at the clinic will include the management of neck and back pain, sports-related injuries, work-related injuries, arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Nelson Santos Agosto, DO, a physician in the UAB Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department, will lead the practice. 

The clinic will be the fourth spine and musculoskeletal medicine location for the department, the release said.
