The 45,000-square-foot building will include 12,000 square feet of space for UB Neurosurgery, where the practice will offer interventional pain management, ablations and vascular procedures.

The location will increase UB Neurosurgery’s space in the area by 50%. UB Neurosurgery also has partnerships with Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital and Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, N.Y.

UB Neuro operates five sites in the region with 250 full-time employees who saw 65,000 patients last year. With the new site, UB Neurosurgery will bring on three more surgeons and up to 15 new staff members.

The practice will continue to provide surgeries at the 10-year-old Southtowns Surgery Center in Orchard Park, N.Y., according to the report.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
