Two Orthopedic Surgeons Form Garden State Bone & Joint Specialists, Join Human Motion Institute

Two orthopedic surgeons have opened in Woodbridge, N.J., and joined the Human Motion Institute at Raritan Bay Medical Center, according to a New Jersey Today report.

Michael T. Lu, MD, and Cristobal Beiro, MD, are both orthopedic surgeons who have elected to form their practice and join Raritan Bay Medical Center. Dr. Beiro earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, where he also completed his residency. His additional training includes a sports medicine fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. He has served as an assistant team physician for the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Nationals and Baltimore Blast professional soccer team.

Dr. Lu earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis and completed his residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. His additional training includes a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is a member of several professional organizations, including American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
