The designation is given by Blue Cross Blue Shield to facilities that have demonstrated expertise in hip and knee replacements, including fewer patient complications and hospital readmissions.

On average, the facilities are 20 percent more cost efficient in an episode of care.

Twin Cities Community Hospital is one of more than 500 hospitals and ASCs to have earned the designation. A full list is here.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
