Cleveland Clinic Innovations chose Twiage, an Atlanta-based company that transitions EMS to ED care via mobile technology, as the winner of its New Ventures Healthcare Challenge, according to HIT Consultant.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. Founded in 2013, Twiage offers a telemedicine platform via mobile device for first responders and physicians.

 

2. First responders can record stroke symptoms and EKGs with video, take trauma photos and record notes with voice memos.

 

3. YiDing Yu, MD, founded Twiage and serves as CEO.

 

4. Cleveland Clinic Innovations will now offer Twiage free consultations for commercialization.

 

5. This is the third year Cleveland Clinic Innovations hosted its New Ventures Healthcare Challenge.
