Top 5 staffing challenges in physician practices

For a majority of medical practices, staff training is the biggest staffing challenge, according to the Physicians Practice 2015 Staff Salary Survey.

Here are five top staffing challenges for medical practices:

 

•    Staff training and skills not being up to par — 25 percent
•    Lack of professional among staff (such as gossip, lateness and /or lack of respect for managers/physicians) — 18.2 percent
•    Conflict and tension between staff — 15.3 percent
•    Low motivation among staff — 15.1 percent
•    Poor customer service — 4.8 percent

 

The survey includes responses from 1,066 physicians and practice administrators.
