Top 5 Specialty Physicians Who Offer Ancillary Services

Most orthopedists offer ancillary services, which for orthopedic physicians can include in-office surgical centers with pain centers, MRI services and physical therapy with orthotics and braces, according to the Medscape Physician Compensation Report 2014.

The report includes responses from more than 24,000 physicians in 25 specialties.

 

Here are the top five specialty physicians who offer ancillary services, according to the report:

 

•    Orthopedic physicians — 33 percent
•    Anesthesiologists — 31 percent
•    Gastroenterologists — 28 percent
•    Neurologists — 27 percent
•    Ophthalmologists — 26 percent
